How amazing it is to live at a time when so much change is happening, and to be part of that change, working with incredible humans to reshape our future.
I’ve worked in technology for 20 years, but it excites me now more than ever. As CIO for AJ Hackett Bungy New Zealand, I’m extremely fortunate to help people conquer their fears and do things they never thought they could. For such a physical and visceral experience, I love the challenge of integrating technology to enhance our customers’ experiences and free our crew up to be creative, deliver, and succeed.
More recently, I’ve been leading a startup, EpicShot, a tourism content capture and distribution platform, partnering with operators to showcase their incredible experiences.
I’m still learning every day, but I’m excited about the road ahead and how tourism and New Zealand are positioned to succeed.

Food is one of tourism’s most powerful storytellers – a gateway into culture, place and identity. Yet food identity is not created through branding, but grown through years of choices made when no one is watching – how soil health, animal wellbeing, climate, restraint, and care all quietly translate into flavour. In this session, celebrated chefs and presenters explore how farming shapes identity and how cuisine shapes a destination’s character, how storytelling turns ingredients into narratives, and how taste can inspire travellers long before they board a plane. What can tourism marketers learn from the people who translate place through flavour?
